_Mass Communications & Security Systems Upgrade

Installation of bullet resistant glazing and improvements to campus fire alarm and security system to connect to the future New SEM Building. Mass communication system will be tied to the fire alarm. The existing fire alarm is tied-in to Gym I, Co-Gen, and existing SAC. Scope of work will include upgrading the existing fire alarm to separate the renovated SAC and new VRC to a stand-alone fire alarm panel.

Construction Documents were submitted to DSA for review on March 14th, 2018 as part of the New SEM Construction Documents and Specifications package. Approval of construction documents was received on October 19th, 2018. Groundbreaking for this project took place on February 6th, 2019 with the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
