Renovate Buildings 300 & 500

Scope:
Total renovation of Buildings 300 and 500, including historic consideration of Building 300. The renovated buildings will contain general classrooms, CIS laboratories, ACT laboratories, photography laboratories, Dean and faculty offices, shared laboratories, and a lecture hall.

Status:
R2A Architecture submitted the 95% Construction Documents installment for District and Campus review on February 4th, 2019. HL Construction Management in collaboration with R2A Architecture has produced a cost of replacement estimate for Buildings 300 and 500. O'Connor Construction Management has also produced a 60% Construction Document Cost Estimate for the site work and renovation of both buildings. Fullerton Heritage, a Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation dedicated to preserving Fullerton's past, is meeting with the College to review the Building 300 plans and provide feedback on the historical architectural elements that need to be addressed by the renovation project. The project is expected to be submitted to DSA in early May 2019. The sewer line connection Buildings 300 and 500 to the city Sewer on Lemon Dr. has been identified for necessary replacement. Construction is anticipated to take place Summer 2020.
