Exterior Green Community Space Enhancement - Project SIte
Q1 2026 Project Update
January - February
As the Exterior Green Community Space Enhancement will coincide with multiple project timelines during the bidding, construction, and close-out phases, the Campus Project Team has contracted with MAAS Companies, Inc., to perform project management services to oversee its completion. A Board Agenda Item was presented to the Board of Trustees for its consideration at the January meeting. With the Board’s approval, the District executed the contract.
The project has started the pre-bidding phase. A request for qualifications (RFQ) has been drafted for release to interested general contractor firms as part of the pre-qualificaiton process. The selection of a general contractor from the pre-qualified list is expected to start at the end of March after the pre-qualified pool is finalized. Once a pre-qualified firm is chosen, a Board Agenda Item is anticipated to be presented in early May for the Board of Trustees’ consideration. A Notice to Proceed with Construction is planned to be issued on June 1, 2026 after which the general contractor will begin mobilizing ahead of site demolition.
