Restore East Parking Lot - Project Site
Q1 2026 Project Update
January - February
On January 12, 2026, the project broke ground with the selected general contractor, PaveWest, following their approval by the Board of Trustees in mid-December.
A Notice to Proceed with construction was issued on the aforementioned date, after which PaveWest began mobilization activities and site demolition that continued until the third week of January.
Crews then proceeded to start grading activities to ensure a leveled surface prior to proceeding with asphalt paving. Construction Field Instructions have been issued to facilitate the addition of light poles and electrical repairs for improved safety in the area. The Campus Project Team will be presenting a Board Agenda Item for Change Order No. 1 to address added fire lane scope of work to the Board of Trustees in March.
Coordination is taking place for the procurement of equipment relating to electrical vehicle charging stations. Some constraints in their delivery have been identified with the vendor that may affect the project timeline. PaveWest will continue tracking this matter, and take steps where available, to mitigate project impacts.
