Renovate Buildings 300 & 500

Scope:
Total renovation of Buildings 300 and 500, including historic consideration of Building 300. The renovated buildings will contain general classrooms, CIS laboratories, ACT laboratories, photography laboratories, Dean and faculty offices, shared laboratories, and a lecture hall.

Status:
The Division of the State Architect (DSA) has completed the review of the Renovate 300 and 500 Building Construction Documents. The campus project team continues to work with Fullerton Heritage on this project. The DSA reviewed plans are in review at the California Community College Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) for the approval for the bidding process. The sewer line connection Buildings 300 and 500 to the city Sewer on Lemon Dr. has been identified for necessary replacement. District purchasing released a Notice to Bid on March 5th, 2020 and March 12th, 2020 followed by a mandatory job walk on March 13th, 2020. Bids for the job were received by April 15th, 2020. The Campus Project Team has evaluated the bids and will be making a recommendation to the Board of Trustees to award contract in the coming weeks. Construction for the sewer line is anticipated to take place Summer 2020.
